INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR LOW VOLTAGE WELL LIGHTS

FOR USE ONLY WITH LOW VOLTAGE LANDSCAPE POWER UNITS THAT DO NOT EXCEED 25 AMPS, 15 VOLT MAX.

WARNING:  Fixture must be installed in accordance with local codes of the National Electrical Code (NEC).  Failure to do so may result in serious injury and/or damage to the fixture.

SAFETY WARNING: Fixture can become very hot depending upon the lamp wattage used.  Lens and metal around the lamp can become hot enough to blister hands.  Particular care should be take no to locate fixtures where small children can reach them if high wattage lamps are used.

LUMINARIES ARE NOT TO BE INSTALLED WITHIN 10 FT. (3.05 M) OF A POOL OR SPA.

TOOLS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION:
  • Flat Blade Screwdriver
  •   Wire Stripper
  •   Silicone Grease

PRECAUTION: Fixture is not submersible and adequate drainage must be provided during installation.  It is recommended that the fisture be surrounded by 3" to 4" of pea gravel to assure proper drainage.  Top of fixture must be above grade so rain and irrigation water cannot accumulate for long periods of time (see figure).

  1. To prevent electrical shock, disconnect transformer from electrical supply before installation or service.
  2. With flat blade screwdriver, loosen terminal screws located on the back of the PAR-36 lamp (see figure).
  3. Connect lamp holder leads (blue spade connector) to lamp terminals and tighten screws (see figure).
  4. Coat screws with silicone grease.
  5. Install lamp into black silicone rubber lamp holder (see figure).
  6. Dig hole to appropriate depth allowing 3" to 4" of pea gravel to surround ABS sleeve (see figure).
NOTE: ABS sleeve is reversible.  Straight cut end allows flush ground mounting and an optional grate cover (which may be ordered sperately but is not required). Angle cut end requires the top three (3) inches to be installed above ground for vertical aiming.
  7. Place fixture with support bracket inside ABS sleeve and adjust angle.
  8. Run wire pigtail through bottom of ABS sleeve and strip the two (2) leads from the fixture wire.  Using the two (2) silicone filled safety connectors (supplied) connect the leads from the fixture to the main supply cable leads (see figure).
NOTE: Fixtures are supplied with 36" of 18-2 cable pigtail for secure connection to the main supply cable.  Always coil extra cable not used below fixture for future relocation if desired.
NOTE: There are two (2) knockouts on the bottom of the rubber lamp holder which should be removed to provide proper ventilation for lamp and for drainage of any water which may seep in.  Removing knockouts and providing proper ventilation will prolong the life of the lamp (see figure).

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
