Irrigation Design Features (RainCAD™ SX and IX Only)

RainCAD™ SX and IX include a database of irrigation equipment from major manufacturers such as:

Hunter Industries  Irritrol Systems  L.R. Nelson
Rain Bird  Toro  Weather*Matic

In RainCAD™, you can design in either English or Metric units of measurement. Distance may be measured in inches, feet, millimeters, centimeters, or meters. Pressure may be displayed in either Pounds per Square Inch (PSI) or Bars. In addition, you may select the desired flow format in either gallons per minute, liters per second, liters per minute, or cubic meters per hour.

There are features to assist in sprinkler placement, zoning, piping, pipe sizing, hydraulic calculations, running a bill of materials and more.

Landscape Design Features (RainCAD™ SX and LX Only)

The landscape design features include a database of more than 2,500 individual plant listings. The features include both manual and automatic plant placement capabilities, plant delete and replace capabilities, a plant search feature, automatic legend generation and more.

Accent Lighting and Drainage Design Features (RainCAD™ SX Only)

RainCAD™ SX DesignCAD Edition includes a small module to assist in accent lighting and drainage design. The program includes commands to assist in fixture placement, wiring, and wire sizing. Additional commands include calculations for total wattage and drainage runoff calculations.

  • 1 Ghz processor or higher (commercial design)
  • 256 MB of system memory or higher
  • 500 MB of free hard disk space or higher
  • Graphics card and monitor capable of at least 1280x1024 resolution in 16-bit color
